Quality production process

The Imatra core factory produces spiral cores, the raw material of which is cardboard made from recycled fiber from the Pori cardboard factory. Production processes are largely automated. Cardboard webs with different strength classes are glued to each other and finished cores are transferred from the machine directly to the dryer section to dry.

Finished cores are delivered to customers, either as long cores according to the width of the customer's machine or sawn to size. Core production is done every day of the week as a day job.

The factory has core sawing units and sawing is done in shifts. This ensures good customer service. Quality measurements are made for each batch of orders, which are recorded in the reporting system. The factory also produces extended cores, the raw material of which are used cores returned by the customer. This saves raw materials and, at the same time, makes a significant environmental contribution.

The owner constantly invests in the maintenance and development of the factory's processes. Recent investments have been made for quality improvement to increase the capacity of both core manufacturing and core reuse. Development work is also done together with the customer.
