Flexible production processes

In Liljendal, cores are produced on two heavy core machine lines and one light core machine line on weekdays, in day and evening shifts. Cardboard is delivered to the factory in packages consisting of narrow cardboard discs. Discs are unrolled and strips are glued and guided onto a spiral-shaped fixed shaft.

Quality requirements of the resulting core are met by using different cardboards, adjusting the number of cardboard strips and using manufacturing shafts of different sizes. Cores are cut to the right length – either directly with the core machine or in the post-cutting unit – to meet the customer's needs. After the drying process, cores are packed, loaded and delivered to customers.

Liljendal unit’s strength lies in its flexibility. The modern process allows for speed and the ability to constantly modify production.

The owner constantly invests in the maintenance and development of the factory. Constant investment in quality and production method development guarantees an even better product and service quality. The latest investment concerned the factory's drying area and a new cutting unit. Environmental friendliness is a major concern for the company. Accordingly, the company has invested in a waste heat collection system and uses biofuel to heat the property.
