Corex is committed to supporting the well-being of children and young people and encouraging them to be physically active.
As a result of a successful wellness campaign, we cycled a total of 26,970 km in the 2025 Cycling Challenge. To celebrate this great achievement, Corex made a donation to the pediatric ward at Lappeenranta Central Hospital. The recipient of the donation was selected through a vote by the staff. The donation will support hospital care for children under 16 in the South Karelia region, help ensure they receive the best possible care, and aim to improve the daily lives of young patients.
In addition, we are participating in the 2026 Pitkiskummi Campaign, through which we are providing ten children with the opportunity to attend a summer camp at Pitkis Sport, a camp focused on outdoor physical activity for children.
The Pitkiskummi campaign is carried out in collaboration with LiikU ry and the local Hope ry. The goal of the campaign is to offer children from low-income families in Satakunta an equal opportunity to participate in a week-long summer camp. Children have the opportunity to choose their preferred sport from among up to 20 different sports camps. Hope ry is responsible for contacting families and selecting the children for the camp.
The Pitkiskummi campaign covers the entire camp fee, including meals, insurance, and a varied, supervised physical activity program. In addition, LiikU ry ensures that every child has the necessary equipment for camp, such as a tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, sports and rain gear, and appropriate footwear. The goal is for every child participating in the campaign to feel completely equal to the other campers and to take home memories of the summer that will last well into the future.
For Corex, participating in the Pitkiskummi campaign is a concrete way to promote children’s well-being, inclusion, and equality.
